I had to make a difficult decision a few weeks ago. And while it was a struggle at the time, looking back I’m glad that I knew my limits. Otherwise, I’d be in much worse shape right now…

I’ve had a crazy few weeks.

But it could have been a lot worse…

See, I’ve got a new retainer client starting this month, while another one is still in their final month.

So that’s twice the usual work right there.

On top of that, another one of my retainer clients is gearing up for a big Black Friday launch. And they asked to expand their package with me to cover the extra workload.

Plus I have a long-term project due in early December that I need to keep moving forward, too.

And while I’m grateful to have so much business, with everything going on, I’m just barely keeping up.

So even though it hurt at the time…

I’m Really Glad I Turned Down A Big-Name Client Earlier This Month

Because while it would have paid me a decent chunk of change, I just wouldn’t have been able to get the job done.

Now don’t get me wrong. It was hard to turn down a big-name client for a big-time payday.

But that’s why it’s important to know your limits.

Because if you don’t, you’ll wind up overbooking yourself.

And instead of being able to (barely) hold things together, you’ll wind up crashing and burning.

Which is the last thing I want for you.

So remember — know your limits. And when the time comes, don’t be afraid to say no to avoid going past them.
