Reach Out To Past Clients And Potential Clients To See If They Need Any Last-Minute Projects
You’ve probably heard that it’s easier to sell more to an existing customer than to create a new one.
And that means it’s also easier to sell a warm prospect you’ve already met than to connect with someone new.
So you’ll have the best luck focusing your outreach on contacts you already have right now — instead of looking for new ones with only a few weeks left in the year.
Also, when you reach out, let them know you’re planning to take some time off for the holidays next month.
And that you want to make sure they have everything they need to finish the year strong.
(The key word is “planning” — since plans can always change. So if they offer you a huge project you want to tackle, you can say yes and change those “plans.”)
Plus for past clients, you can even go one step further. When you reach out, include a few project ideas that could help them have a strong end to the year. Since you’ll typically have a better understanding of their business after working with them compared to a prospect who hasn’t hired you yet. (But feel free to share project ideas with your prospects too, if you can come up with good ones.)
For example, if you work in ecommerce, suggest projects that could help your clients improve their holiday campaigns.
